Voice Trek is a seasoned, sophisticated vocal group with exciting harmonies and a diverse musical repertoire. (The 3 females in the group are sisters, and there's a brother-in-law in the mix too.) With eight recordings to their credit, Voice Trek was voted the top a cappella group by a cappella fans across the country at the Harmony Sweepstakes - one of the most prestigious singing competitions in the nation, and are 2005-06 winners of the prestigious McKnight Fellowship for Performing Artists. Voice Trek has been thrilling listeners with their impeccable vocal skills since 1987. Their astonishing adaptability and inventive arrangements have defined this vocal quintet as one of the topmost in their genre. Voice Trek has traversed the Jazz landscape with ease, and like true explorers they’ve expanded their panorama even further with a myriad of influences to create their distinctive sound.

Though Jazz is the group’s foundation, their house is “the house that harmony built.” Time and again Voice Trek delivers the music and the message both in studio and on stage. Based in Minnesota, the all-original members of Voice Trek are Shelley, Vicki, and Rae Plaster - three sisters known for their dazzling vocal mix; the group’s tenor, Denis Allaire, a specialist in vocal percussion and vocal instrumental sounds; and bringing up the bass is the dynamic Kevin Smith, the irreplaceable bottom line.

A multitalented prolific group with numerous CD’s in their catalog, Voice Trek has recorded and received airplay in several genres. In order to give you the best performance possible, Voice Trek provides the following information as a technical rider to their contract:

A stage plot is available upon request.

One Sound Engineer to mix performance16-Channel Mixing Board (Minimum)
Sound board should have Phantom Power if microphones require it
Microphones for vocalists: FIVE matched Beta 87 or Beta 87A microphones or similar (wireless preferred)
5 compressors, Dramer or similar
2 - Two-way MAIN speakers. Preference: Meyer, EAW, or similar
Monitor System: 3 – 4 Mackie powered wedge monitors or similar
Only one monitor mix is required for A cappella Show
Power Amps: Two power amps at not less than 200 watts per channel, at 8 ohms each would be minimum required
5 Mic stands
CD Player to play tracks during performance
Processing - at least two good quality reverbs, Lexicon or similar
EQ’s - Ashley Protea digital - 6 channels, or similar
