Fast Facts About Vicky Emerson:

Vicky was raised in the village of Elmwood, Wisconsin where it has sustained a population of 742 people over the years and has an unusual affinity for UFO sightings (it is self proclaimed UFO Capital of the World). After months of pleading around her sixth birthday, Vicky received an old, scratched Kimball upright from her parents and began lessons. Music became her first love. She never tired of practicing and as a child, soon began writing songs of her own.

In addition to her corporate work with GL Berg, Vicky is an award-winning singer/songwriter and tours on a national basis which keeps her on the road with over 200 performance dates a year. Vicky's songs have received critical acclaim and won awards from notable organizations such as the Austin Songwriting Group, the Dallas Songwriting Group, Songwriters of Wisconsin International and in 2004, Billboard named her music Instantly Appealing. Some highlights from the 2006 tour would be the hip Living Room in Manhattan where Norah Jones got her start, the legendary Anderson Fair in Houston and she had the privilege to share the stage with talents like Buddy Mondlock (Guy Clark, Nanci Griffith), NYC favorite Anne Heaton, C. Willi Myles, and Austin favorites Matt the Electrician and Southpaw Jones.

2007 has already been a big year for Vicky. In January, she showcased in Texas at the Windows Music Festival in Fredericksburg and also appeared on WGN, the #1 nighttime radio show in Chicago. This fall a highly anticipated new album will be released with the musical talents of Lloyd Maines (Dixie Chicks), Dean Magraw (MMA Best Guitar Player 2005), Gordy Johnson (MMA Best Bass Player 2004), Steve Goold (Look Alive/Bill Mike), and Matthew Freed (Cloud Cult.) Vicky currently resides in New York City.

Technical rider:

In order to give you the best performance possible, Vicky provides the following information as a technical rider to her contract:

Stage Requirements - a raised 12' x 12' stage is the perfect size for the show
Electrical Outlets
Dressing Area - a secure, private area to change into stage wardrobe and store street clothes during performance.
Vicky provides her own sound and lighting for most applications up to 300 people.
If Vicky is flying to your date, she will need sound and lights provided.

Performance Suggestions: These are a few things you can do to ensure that the performance is enjoyed by all:

If possible, ask the wait staff to clear the table dishes after the performance is finished. Nothing is more disturbing to your guests than rattling plates and a busy catering staff blocking their view.
If it is an after-dinner show, it works best to keep things moving along and have everything set prior to dinner so Vicky can be quickly introduced and jump into her show without any long delays.
If the show is in a long, rectangular room, try to position the stage so people have the best viewing angle. Usually, putting the stage on a side wall instead of at a far end works best.
Please have water and/or soda available during set-up and for the show as it is helpful to Vicky’s voice.
