Trio Bella (or Bella Duo) are wonderful string musicians playing a variety of styles and music from Celtic and classical music to popular songs. This trio can provide beautiful background music or even stage performances. The group is led by the very talented harpist Andrea Stern. If you want to add that really nice, classy touch to your next event, a performance by Trio Bella is probably your answer. Biography: Minnesota based harpist Andrea Stern has been a professional musician since 1981, when she graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music. Andrea has performed as a soloist with orchestras and choral groups throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Most recently, she was the Principal Harpist for the Minnesota Opera. Andrea provides a full range of musical offerings for individual and business clients, and is an accomplished teacher for students of all ages. She has recorded music ranging from Bach to Beatles, Copland to Celtic on the Sugo, Chickadee, Compass and Red House Record labels. Andrea provides educational programs for children from pre-school through senior high. Her programs combine basics about the harp, audience participation, music appreciation, performance and a generous sprinkling of humor and fun. Andrea has been on the roster of “Young Audiences of Minnesota” for 15 years, presenting assemblies to children throughout the region. Andrea teaches both concert and Celtic harp to children and adults. In 1988, she was awarded a prestigious grant from National Endowment for the Arts at the St. Francis Music Center. Andrea has been adjunct faculty in the music departments at Winona State University. Currently she teaches at MacPhail Center for Music, has a home studio and is adjunct faculty at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. In January of 2004, she spent ten days giving master classes and performing at Isidor Bajic School, the leading music school in Novi Sad, Siberia. |
