The following is a sample introduction you might use when introducing The Procrastinators to your audience:
Originally founded as ‘The Procrastineers’ in 1932 to entertain the country’s depression-stricken poor, the percussion group has drawn on its rich history and reputation as it continues to entertain audiences from Woodstock to Lollapalooza and everywhere in between, under the name The Procrastinators.
This outrageous trio of drummers turns five-gallon water bottles, barstools, pots and pans into legitimate musical instruments while jumping, sliding, twisting and stomping to their own soundtrack of fast and furious rhythmic fun!
The group’s list of credits includes a recent performance at Superbowl XXXVII in San Diego, an appearance on Fox Television’s ‘30 Seconds to Fame’, and opening appearances for national acts The Beach Boys, Jessica Simpson and The Steve Miller Band.
Please welcome... The Procrastinators!
