Greg Kaler is The Games Guy. In his show, Greg demonstrates out-of-the-ordinary fun, family interactive games and activities. What’s unique about The Games Guy show is that after Greg’s performance, the audience gets to try the games! Greg brings extra of everything for the children/families to play with. Greg says he especially enjoys watching families play these games together after his shows.

The Games Guy:

Greg Kaler was born in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1955 where his dad was in the Air Force. He grew up in Staples Minnesota. Greg graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation and has been performing professionally for 20 years.

Career Highlights:

  • Greg is a school assembly performer and that means he gets to travel a lot. He has performed his show in 46 states so far, and has seen a lot of beautiful countryside.
  • Some of the favorite places Greg has visited on his school tours are: the large Amish communities near Lancaster, PA, Cades Cove in Smokey Mountain National Park near Knoxville, TN, date farms near Palm Springs, CA, Redwoods in CA, the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, Mt. Rainier near Seattle, WA, and the Green Mountains in VT, to name a few.
  • Greg has been a school assembly performer for nine years. He’s performed for approximately 800,000 students and teachers. Certainly one of his career highlights has been meeting so many wonderful, friendly people and hearing their accents, depending on the part of the country.
  • Another highlight of Greg’s career has been performing across the Midwest for 15 years with his two children Josh and Amanda as “The Zuchinis!” – a magic, juggling, and comedy show.

What do you like best about being a performer?
“Making people laugh. It gives me a good feeling that I can do that. In my school assembly shows, besides enjoying entertaining my audiences, I enjoy teaching kids/teachers about the importance of the Rainforests or the importance of eating healthy food as in my “Fitness for Life” shows. I also enjoy the independence of my job, plus all the beautiful country I get to see on my travels.”

Any hobbies?
“Vegetable gardening, canoeing, fishing on the Crow Wing River, morel mushroom hunting, throwing long-distance boomerangs, jogging while I play Frisbee golf, studying about nutrition, and above all, I love spending time with my wife Bev and my kids and family.”

In order to give you the best performance possible, The Games Guy requests the following:

Ideally, the performance space should be 25 feet deep by 40 feet wide.

The audience plays with the games after the shows, so if there can be a nice large playing space, it’s ideal.

It’s also ideal to have adequate bleachers/seating for the audience if possible in order to provide all audience members with a view of the show.

If these conditions can’t be met, please talk to the entertainment representative. They can be worked around, but offer the best performance.
