Marcoux Corner got their start at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and after only a few months of performing they were hitting the scene with a national tour and a new sound that is changing the face of A Cappella. They’ve performed at 5 State Fairs, headlined countless county fairs and college entertainment conventions, performed for corporate clients such as 3M, LL Bean and General Mills plus concert series from Florida to Alaska. There isn’t anywhere these guys can’t go and every time they set-up to sing they always leave with a crowd on their feet and hands clapping to the beat. This is entertainment and music at its best, Marcoux Corner is a show you will not want to miss.

Fast Facts About Marcoux Corner:

Marcoux Corner got its start at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. The core of the group grew up in Crookston, MN, a small town way up in the northland. At Concordia College these guys were trained in vocal technique and music at one of the most respected music institutions in the nation. From there they started singing out around town and it wasn’t long before they took off and quickly became one of the country’s top A Cappella ensembles.

Over their 5 year career they’ve already racked up credits as impressive as: singing the national anthem for President George W. Bush, sharing the stage with the Beach Boys, America and pop sensation Vanessa Carlton, along with many other national touring acts. But most impressive in their list of accomplishments is the fact that they’ve traveled from Florida to Alaska hitting over 30 states in between and each time they bring the crowd to its feet.

Marcoux Corner has released two full length CD’s along with a 4 song EP titled ‘Your Kisses’. Their first full length CD ‘Buyin’ Time’ is a great collection of classic rock and roll favorites like ‘California Dreamin’ and ‘Mustang Sally’ as well as 6 original songs. Their Holiday CD ‘Tidings’ has sold over 5,000 copies and was only released in 2005.

Part of what makes this group so special is its unique versatility. Not only have they been featured at countless county and state fairs, but they tour colleges all over the country and have performed for such corporate giants as 3M, General Mills and LL Bean. Marcoux Corner is a musical act that you will love to listen to over and over, their energy and love of what they do is contagious each time they pick up a microphone. Technical rider:

In order to give you the best performance possible, Marcoux Corner provides the following information as a technical rider to their contract:

LOAD-IN
Marcoux Corner (Marcoux) will need performance space, dressing rooms and technical staff ready 3 hours before the performance for load-in, with nothing going on around area that would impede the set-up and sound check. Please note that Marcoux will need approximately 1 hour to vacate the performance space following the show.

STAGE
Marcoux requires a swept and empty stage ready for set-up at load-in. The stage area must be at least 12’ deep x 24’ wide. Marcoux requires use of entire stage.

SOUND SYSTEM
Marcoux provides their own sound system. Marcoux may choose to use part or all of the house sound system and requests that the house sound booth be made available. A qualified board operator should be available to consult with Marcoux at load-in.

LIGHTING
Marcoux provides their own lighting. Marcoux may choose to use part or all of the house lighting and requests that a house lighting technician be made available to consult with Marcoux at load-in.

ELECTRICAL
Marcoux needs a minimum of five 20-amp circuits (3 20-amp circuits for sound and 2 20-amp circuits for lighting) to plug in sound equipment and lighting. Please have a person available that can instruct Marcoux as to where the circuit box is for the venue.

DRESSING ROOMS
Marcoux will need one clean, smoke-free and secure dressing room as close to the stage as possible. Please provide a rack for hanging garment bags, access to the bathroom (preferably private) and 8 bottles of non-carbonated water.

MERCHANDISE
One or two volunteers to help with the sales after the show is not required but is very much appreciated.

Marcoux requests a volunteer to do a prepared introduction of the group at show time. A microphone will be provided by Marcoux for this purpose.
