David Olson -- balloon entertainer

David is a Balloon Entertainer, making and creating fun out of latex balloons. He entertains children and adults with a blend of humor and interaction with the people and children around him, while rapidly making creations out of various balloons. Watching him blow up, twist, tie and make the balloons is almost as much fun as getting the balloons. With the near continuous commentary filled with puns, jokes and humor and trivia questions, everyone is entertained.

As a school psychologist, he has used this medium to teach topics as diverse as Self-Esteem (for children) and Learning Styles for youth and teachers. As an entertainer, he provides the young and adults with fun, excitement, and interesting displays of wit and questions. This is the perfect entertainment for community festivals, business promotions, parties and other celebrations.

Technical rider:

In order to give you the best performance possible, David provides the following information as a technical rider to his contract:

The client is responsible to ensure that the use of latex in the situation is acceptable.
Generally, hospitals have general policies against the use of latex due to issues related to allergies. Latex is a natural product and a few people have varying degrees of allergic reactions. Sometimes simple changes in the physical arrangement such as being set up in a space a short distance from seating or congregating areas is sufficient.

Balloons will pop.
The sun and the wind will deteriorate balloons rapidly. Environmental situations often cause popage or increase the popping of balloons as do other factors. David takes precautions to reduce balloon popage as much as possible. It is generally less than 5% of the balloons.

There are lines of children and adults.
The space where David sets up should generally be clear of exits and entrances and should not intrude on other activities at the event.
Lines will form. David tries to keep the sequence as much as possible with help from people in line. You can anticipate that it takes about 1 to 2 minutes per person to create the chosen balloon for each person.

Safety
David does not provide balloons to children under the approximate age of 12 months. He provides an alternative toy for children who are a little older.
David will provide a verbal warning to the parent of children under about 2 years of age to not allow the child to put the balloons in their mouths.
